Whether your horse is a leisure companion, senior horse, broodmare, or growing foal, Meadow Hay is an excellent choice that closely mimics their natural grazing diet.
Pure, natural, and harvested at peak freshness – the way nature intended.
What is Meadow Hay?
Meadow Hay is a natural mix of various grass species, carefully harvested and cured to retain maximum nutritional value. Unlike single-grass hay types like Timothy or Alfalfa, Meadow Hay provides a diverse nutrient profile, closely resembling what horses would consume in the wild.
- Soft & Palatable – Encourages healthy eating habits, even for picky eaters.
- Gentle on Digestion – Ideal for horses with sensitive stomachs or digestive concerns.
- Rich in Fiber – Supports gut health and efficient nutrient absorption.
- Low in Sugar & Starch – A safe choice for horses prone to laminitis or metabolic issues.
- Balanced Nutrition – Provides a variety of vitamins, minerals, and essential nutrients.
Who Should Feed Meadow Hay?
Meadow Hay is a versatile forage option suitable for a wide range of horses.
Perfect for:
- Senior Horses – Soft texture and digestibility make it easier for aging horses to consume.
- Leisure & Companion Horses – Provides steady energy without excessive calories.
- Ponies & Easy Keepers – Helps maintain a healthy weight with balanced fiber.
- Young Horses & Foals – Supports natural growth and early development.
- Horses with Digestive Sensitivities – A gentle and low-sugar option for gut health.
Not Ideal for:
- High-Performance Horses – May require a mix of Alfalfa or Timothy Hay for additional protein and calories.
- Underweight Horses – May need supplementation with higher-energy forage or grains.
