PhD Fellow (Animal Physiology and Immunology)
Hi, I’m Zohaib Saleem, a PhD Fellow specializing in Animal Physiology and Immunology at the University of Alberta. My research focuses on understanding the complex interactions between the immune and physiological systems in animals, with the goal of improving animal health, welfare, and productivity.
I’m currently based at the 3-11E Agriculture/Forestry Centre within the Department of Agricultural, Food and Nutritional Science. My work blends fundamental science with practical applications in agriculture and veterinary health, contributing to innovations in livestock management and disease resistance.
Through my academic journey, I’ve developed a strong passion for advancing scientific knowledge that supports sustainable and ethical animal agriculture. Whether it’s through lab work, data analysis, or collaborative research, I’m committed to making meaningful contributions to the field.
